Surf Road Café, Mount Maunganui
Designed by Wonder Group, Surf Road Café in Mount Maunganui is a thoughtfully detailed hospitality project showcasing contemporary café lighting and architectural lighting design. Targetti NZ collaborated closely with the design team, delivering a layered lighting solution that enhances ambience, functionality, and the café’s relaxed coastal identity. Custom pendants featuring Nuru marble bowls paired with Stella pendants from Nocturnal Lighting create warm, tactile focal points, while low-voltage track lighting with IBL tube spotlights and integrated downlights provides flexibility. Externally, Nocturnal Firefly Cans recessed into the soffit deliver subtle architectural illumination and a welcoming presence after dark.
A standout Mount Maunganui café and the perfect place to visit over the summer.
