Nissan Showroom – Auckland, New Zealand
Bringing Spaces to Light
Targetti were engaged by long time clients, Giltrap Group to assist with the full lighting design and supply of the new Nissan Showroom on Great South Road. Giving reinvigorated life to an iconic building in the automotive industry.
Pocketspace was in charge of the complete redesign of the interior and exterior using the corporate identity of Nissan as the design basis. Providing us with a clear concise brief on how the lighting was to be integrated.
Following the brief, we ensured all fittings would provide optimal results both in the visual comfort of the space and most importantly, ensuring a high colour rendering (CRI).
A large ‘halo’ sits in the entrance of the exhibition space. Surrounded by lens based track lights, all achieving UGR>19. A CRI of 90+ complimented with a high R9 value ensured all colours were shown at there best. Multicurrent UGR>19 panels were provided over the sales and exhibition hallway creating a ‘light line’. The multicurrent feature enabled us to lower the direct light levels over the sales area to a more comfortable level to what is focused over the exhibition area.
